With the opportunity of launching the FSC® National Forest Stewardship Standard of Romania (FSC-STD-ROU-01-2017 EN), the Standard Development Group (SDG) organized an event dedicated to presenting the elaboration process and its provisions, attended by members of the Consultative Forum, certified organizations, accredited certification bodies, companies, representatives of the authorities, academia and research, along with other stakeholders who have been actively involved in the development process of the standard.
The event highlighted the novelties that the National Standard introduces as a result of the adaptation of the international generic indicators so that they effectively and efficiently reflect the requirements of the national legislation, current practices in the forestry sector, the social, economic, and environmental conditions of our country.
